Description

The Belum fixed-blade knife is a true tribute to a piece of Maniago history. Created in memory of the 50th anniversary of the death of Giuseppe Maserin known as 'Belu' (1885 - 1972), an Alpine soldier of the 4th Cadore Battalion regiment and Cav. of Vittorio Veneto, Maserin wanted to make a dagger with features similar to those made from bayonets at the CO.RI.CA.MA 'factory' in Maniago. The name itself is particularly evocative, as it combines the nickname of the aforementioned great-grandfather 'Belu', to which an 'M' is added, which is significant both because it takes the initial of the production company and because joining it to the name provides a reference to the Latin word 'bellum'. Despite the strongly historical character of the design, this model has been made with modern machinery, technology and materials, in order to ensure its use meets today's needs.  The particularly hard and durable N690 stainless steel blade guarantees excellent cutting penetration and resistance to prolonged use. The handle is made of Pao Santos, a wood used for shipbuilding and therefore ideal for coping with damp conditions.

The knife comes with a leather sheath and a wooden box, marked with a stencil technique, deliberately recalling the features of the crates in which war material was stored.
