The Extrema Ratio NK1 Desert is a knife produced by the Italian firm Extrema Ratio with reduced dimensions and a very particular shape of the blade. At first glance reminds a skinner knife but revisited in tactical version.
Like all Extrema Ratio, the NK1 Desert is made entirely of N690Co steel with a Desert treatment and starting from a 6.5 mm steel block (knife handle thickness). The sharpening is with razor in order to have a very high performance cut in the practical use of the knife.
The acronym NK1 stands for Neck Knife, in Italian Knife Neck, and in fact this model comes with a sheath Kydex and a lanyard to carry it with you. The handle has a very comfortable ergonomics in order to give back a firm grip in use. The curve on the back of the blade is intended for the housing of the thumb, in the handle for cutting strokes, or of the index, for precision cuts.
