Kasumi Damascus kitchen knives are manufactured by Sumikama Cuttlery in Seki, the cutlery capital of the world. Each model in this series is made from 32 layers of Damascus steel with a central layer of ultra-hard steel. Only the middle layer serves as the cutting edge and is made of G10, a high-carbon steel that ensures durability and ease of sharpening. The knife is beveled at a 15-degree angle, creating an extremely sharp edge on par with the best Japanese knives. The knife is finished with black laminated wood handles that rest on the knife's tang. These features make these knives elegant, yet sturdy and suitable for any style of cooking.
