Lion Steel knife - SR2 Aluminum Black mod. SR-2
The Lion Steel SR-2 knife is the younger brother of the "Most Innovative Imported Design" award-winning knife at the 2010 Blade Show. After the great success of the SR-1 model, in fact, the man house of Lion Steel has created the most small with very similar characteristics. The handle of the SR-2 model, in fact, is made entirely from a monolithic piece of Aluminum Ergal and has a blade thickness of 4.1 mm. The handle has an anti-slip process, while the locking system is the Frame Lock. The system patented by Lion Steel, called Rotoblock, is added to this system. This type of closure makes sure that through the rotation of a pawl present on a part of the handle you can lock the Frame Lock and do not close accidentally. To close the knife it will then be necessary to rotate the Rotoblock again and unlock the "Frame". At the end of the handle of the Lion Steel SR2 knife we find the clip, supported by a screw that can also work as a frangivetro. The clip, in stainless steel is reversible and is hidden (ie it makes sure that the knife is not seen in the pocket!).
The type of steel used for the Lion Steel SR-2 Titanium knife is the Sleipner, steel of Swedish origin, which reaches a hardness of 60-61 HRC.
